Students will bring a half yard piece of fabric suitable for a sea-scapey type collage…..choose something you will love to work with, and  color or print that suits your “style”

Thread will be provided, as well as other fabrics to create your collage “painting”.  There will also be a piece of tulle to cover a fat quarter size work of art.

The teacher will bring many threads, fabrics, yarns, and other goodies to include in your collage.

There will be a $5.00 class fee for supplies.

The only supplies the student needs to bring is the ½ yard of fabric for the collage background.

Ruler & Hand Guided Custom Quilting

Cathryn Scott

Fabric samples will be available in class.  Teacher will have a few personal rulers available for students to borrow, but if you have some, bring your own.  We will be using a straight edge and curved ruler in our class exercises, these are the basics needed to get you started.  If you purchase rulers, be sure they are for long Arm (1/4 in thick).

  • 8 - 12 Inch Straight Edge

  • Friction Pens, a dark friction pen works well for practice as we can easily make corrections.  Just don’t use friction pens on your quilts, the do not really go away.
